Join IFMA NYC, Silicon Valley Chapters, Academic Facilities Council for a phased approach on returning to schools. Facilities leaders from NYC and Northern CA colleges as well CA's state lead school system will be leading a panel discussion and sharing their plans and ideas for adapting to COVID-19 on their campuses.

Jolie Lucas
Strategic Facilities Planner, General Atomics


Jolie Lucas is currently the Strategic Facilities Planner for General Atomics in San Diego, Calif.  She is a certified planner and certified facility manager (AICP and CFM), as well as an LEED Accredited Professional and certified Charrette facilitator. In addition to her role as Academic Outreach Committee Chair of the San Diego Chapter, Jolie is a past president and current board member of the Academic Facilities Council of IFMA. She has nearly 30 years of facilities planning and facilities management experience for private companies and as a consultant for various government agencies. Her projects have included master plans, facilities assessments, funding documentation and the development of space requirements for campuses, military bases and cities.

Jonathan Abreu
Director of Facilities, LIM College 



Jonathan Abreu is Director of Facilities at LIM College and has more than 17 years of experience in multi-site facilities management and operations, including building maintenance, occupational health and safety construction, technology systems implementation, space planning, and project administration across diverse industries. Abreu is a project management leader with a proven track record of organizing, developing, and directing multi-generational teams, implementing new technology, and enhancing operational efficiency and physical security.  Most recently, Jonathan has focused on COVID-19 preparedness efforts and endeavored to minimize the effects of the pandemic while preserving the student experience.

Steve Greenwood
Director of Physical Plant at University of the Pacific



Greenwood brings more than 30 years of experience in facility management, finance/budget analysis, accounting, and safety and security. He is currently the Director of Physical Plant for the University of the Pacific. He has experience in both the private and public sectors, the United States Air Force, Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, the City of Sacramento, American Honda Motors, and Aspire Public Schools. He also serves as an instructor for UC Berkeley Extension, teaching several courses leading to a Facility Management certification.

Greenwood earned his bachelor's degree in business administration and accounting from Humphreys College and his master’s of business administration from the University of the Pacific, and is currently working on his D.Ed. in Educational Leadership. He also holds the Certified Facility Manager, Sustainable Facility Professional, and Facility Management Professional designations from the International Facility Management Association and is an IFMA certified Instructor.   

Denise Viene
Director of Operations, St.Francis College 


Denise Vieni is a Director of Operations at St. Francis College with more than 21 years of experience in Facilities and Property Management, Strategic Leadership and Operations Management. Vieni works at St. Francis College, her alma mater, where she holds a high-visibility position throughout the college as an integral member of the college’s Facilities Management Team, overseeing and managing day- to -day maintenance and, appearance of the physical plant, and manages operational staff and budgets. Other companies with which Denise has had a role in Facilities Management include Cushman & Wakefield, Empire Blue Cross Blue Shield, Amerigroup and Health Plus.  Her hobbies include traveling, cooking and journaling.
